Samsung Air Command vs Air Actions
In order not to get it confused, the Air Command is a different feature to the Air Actions. The Air Command made its debut on the Galaxy Note 3. It is the name of the menu that shows on the display of your Samsung’s device when you bring out/pop out the S-pen from the phone. The Air Actions feature is active by default and you really don’t have to do anything. The feature can, however, be enabled or disabled in the settings menu. To do this, go to Settings > Advanced Features > S-pen. From there, you can toggle it on or off. Note that in certain apps, the Air Actions feature auto-activates.

- Press & hold the button on the S-pen
- Perform the gesture you want instantly
- Then quickly let go of the S-pen button.
All three steps must be done fast and swift for the feature to work. It’s normally if you fail at first few tries, you’ll get used to it over time. There is a total of six gestures you can perform; volume up, volume down, left, right, clockwise and counterclockwise. In media apps, clockwise and counterclockwise gestures are not available.

- Go to Settings, select the Advanced Features, select the ‘S-Pen’ option, then the ‘Air Actions’ option.
- The Air Actions user interface will display every app on your device that supports the air gestures. So click on the app icon you wish to customize.
- Go to the “Gestures section” and configure the up, down, left, right, clockwise and counterclockwise gestures. Also, the single tap and double tap of the S-pen button can be configured.
- Exit the menu once you’re done with the configurations.
