Honor 10i – Honor tradition since becoming a sub-brand of Huawei is offering high-end features mostly seen on flagship on a budget or mid-range smartphone. The Honor 10i is the first smartphone at this price range to offer a triple rear camera setup. This budget phone specs and features make it a competitor to the likes of Huawei P30 Lite, Samsung Galaxy A50 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.

Honor 10i (Honor 20 Lite) Design

The Honor 10i features a four-sided curved 3D design, which appeals to the eyes thanks to its gradient finish. This is a beautiful design for a budget phone at this price and it naturally sits comfortably on one’s palm. The budget phone comes in three amazing body colours; Phantom Blue, Phantom Red and Magic Night Black.

The Honor smartphone weighs 164 grams, which is considerably heavy. And it measures 154.8 x 73.6 x 8 mm in dimensions. At the back of the phone is a fingerprint scanner. The triple rear camera and LED flash are aligned at the top left corner in a vertical direction. Moving to the front, we have a teardrop notch, bottom chin with no sign of side bezels.

Honor 10i (Honor 20 Lite) Display

The Honor 10i provides a great viewing experience through its 6.21 inches LTPS IPS LCD display panel with an 83.1% screen-to-body ratio. It features a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, which is a common aspect ratio in today’s market. The resolution of the Honor phone’s display is the usually 1080 x 2340 pixels with 415 PPI density.

The highlight of this smartphone is its camera. The triple camera at the back is the first of any smartphone at this price range. The camera consists of a 24 MP (f/1.8) main sensor, an 8 MP (f/2.2) ultrawide sensor and a 2 MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. You can never go wrong taking pictures with this camera. At the front of this device is the 32 MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Of course, expect to get all the latest camera beautification software on this phone.

Running point on the hardware of this phone is the Kirin 710 SoC, which is one of Huawei’s best in-house mid-range chipset. The Kirin 710 SoC is built on a 12nm manufacturing process technology, it features an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. This device is available in only one memory variant; 4 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage. For additional storage, there is a microSD slot available.

The Honor 10i runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie, which is covered up with EMUI 9 custom skin. This gives you an optimized user interface with an improved data management system. The device features Fast Smart Unlock along with Closed-eyes recognition. This recognition means the phone won’t unlock when the eyes are closed nearby enabling a higher level of biometric security.
