The LG V50 ThinQ 5G and the LG G8 ThinQ are the two flagship lineup announced for 2019 by company at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The V50 ThinQ 5G is the next generation smartphone with a 5G network. It seems we’ll be seeing a lot of 5G smartphones in 2019. The most interesting feature or rather accessory of the new V50 ThinQ 5G is the compatibility of another screen. The detachable second screen can act as a game controller, a keyboard or more like a second screen just like the foldable smartphone display.
LG V50 ThinQ 5G Design
The V50 ThinQ 5G comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and back with an aluminium frame. The smartphone covers MIL-STD-810G test compliant and IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone is only available in an Astro Black body colour, which shows a flush look, seamless transition to frame and overall points to be a premium craft.
The V50 ThinQ 5G measures 159.2 x 76.1 x 8.3 mm in dimensions and weighs 183 grams. A lot of flagships is ditching the fingerprint sensor for face identification. It’s good to know LG are not jumping on that ship as the V50 ThinQ features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Above the scanner is a triple camera with LED flash in a vertical direction. At the front of the smartphone is a small notch, which features the dual selfie cameras and offset earpiece.
