Realme 3 Pro – Realme has experienced tremendous growth within a year of their existence, is a sub-brand of Oppo. The company latest release is one to cause an earthquake in the upper mid-range segment. The Realme 3 Pro (also known as Realme X Lite in China) is the advanced version of the Realme 3 and comes with upgraded specs that challenge the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, which is known to be a great mid-ranger. Other competition includes Vivo V15 Pro, Vivo S1 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A70 and Meizu Note 9. Can this device be the best budget smartphone of 2019? Let’s find out what it has in stock for us first 🙂

Realme 3 Pro Design

The Realme 3 Pro sports a plastic back with unique glass finishing and gradient touch. While the frame is made up of polycarbonate material. The back features a dual camera setup, a fingerprint reader and Realme branding. Turning to the front we have a waterdrop notch display with small bezels at the sides and bottom chin. The phone weighs 172 grams, which is not heavy considering it has a huge battery capacity. It’s however thick, measuring 8.3 mm. The body colours available on the Realme 3 Pro are Carbon Gray, Nitro Blue and Lightning Purple.

Realme 3 Pro Display

The display we have here is a 6.3 inches IPS LCD touchscreen. It features a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Unlike the Realme 3 which features a 720p resolution, this Pro version comes with a 1080p resolution. This means there will hardly be any blurriness on the display when viewing it. The display of the Realme 3 Pro is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Camera

The Realme 3 Pro sports a dual rear camera system. The primary camera features a 16 MP sensor, f/1.7 aperture, AI scene recognition and Dual Pixel PDAF. While the secondary camera features a 5 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. At the front is a 25 MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, which is impressive for a smartphone of this price range. Realme really did a great job with the camera of this smartphone.

The Realme smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 710 processor with either 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. The device has impressive numbers in benchmark tests. It scored 154,810 on AnTuTu benchmark. Apps respond fast and swift. Once you close an app the phone automatically freezes them, so you won’t experience any lag or stutter. Gamers will love the Adreno 616 GPU featured in this device. It’s more efficient with advanced 3D image rendering, which gives a pleasant gaming experience.

The Realme phone comes with a non-removable Li-ion 4045 mAh battery capacity. This is enough juice to last you more than a day on normal usage and at least 10+ hours on heavy usage like gaming. The phone supports Vivo’s VOOC flash charge version 3.0, which charges from 0% to 50% within 30 minutes. To charge from 0% to 100% takes roughly 85 minutes.
