The budget phone sports a plastic unibody with front glass. The plastic is built to feel comfortable in the hands not just like regular plastic. The plastic back is curved at the sides towards the frame. And at the back is a single camera with LED flash at the top left corner.
Moving to the front we have a large chunk of bezel at the top and bottom. The bottom bezel houses the three navigation buttons. While the top bezel houses the selfie camera and speakers grills. The Redmi Go weighs just 137 grams and measures 8.4 mm in thickness. It’s available in just Black and Blue body colours.

Redmi Go Display
The display is a small 5.0 inches IPS LCD touchscreen with 70% screen-to-body ratio. The display sports 720 x 1280 pixels, 16:9 aspect ratio and 294 PPI density.

The main camera of the Redmi Go packs an 8 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. At the front is a small 5 MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Under the hood is the Snapdragon 425 chipset. And like its predecessor, it comes with a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz and Adreno 308 GPU. The Redmi Go is available in only a 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage. There is a dedicated microSD slot for additional storage but only up to 128 GB.

The Redmi Go is the first Xiaomi/Redmi smartphone to support the Android Go initiative. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) and will come with the Go edition version of Google pre-installed apps like YouTube Go, Gmail Go e.t.c.
