The Samsung Galaxy A10 is the first smartphone under the new A-series. The A-series is a budget series targeted to countries like India. The Galaxy A10 despite being affordable comes with some good specs and features. The smartphone will face competition from the likes of Huawei Y6 (2019), Samsung Galaxy M10, Samsung Galaxy A20, Galaxy A30 and Xiaomi Redmi 7 in the budget segment.

The design of the Galaxy A10 is no different from other galaxy phones in the A-series. It features a waterdrop notch at the top with thin bezels on the sides and chin. At the rear is just a single camera with no fingerprint scanner like the Galaxy A20.

The Samsung Galaxy A10 measures 155.6 x 75.6 x 7.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 168 grams. The phone build is plastic unibody with front glass, which isn’t surprising considering It’s an extreme budget device. The colours available to choose from are Blue, Black and Red. There is a loudspeaker at the back and 3.5 mm headphone jack also.

Samsung Galaxy A10 Display

The Galaxy A10 sports a 6.2 inches IPS LCD display panel. This is great for a smartphone of this price range. The display features 720 x 1520 pixels resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, 81.6% screen-to-body ratio and 271 PPI density. Samsung worked on the display of this device to make sure you get a detailed and clear view.

The camera of the Galaxy A10 isn’t all that glamorous. At the rear is a single 13 MP sensor featuring f/1.9 aperture, AF, panorama and HDR. The selfie camera is a 5 MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The rear camera also features LED flash and able to record 1080p videos at 30fps.

Running underneath the Galaxy A10 is Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7884 chipset. It comes with an Octa-core processor where 2-cores clocks at 1.6 GHz and 6-cores clocks at 1.35 GHz. The GPU available here is Mali-G71 MP2. This chipset coupled with its 2GB RAM variant won’t be able to handle heavy tasks like playing hardcore games. It should, however, take care of regular day-to-day tasks. The internal storage available here is 32 GB with a microSD slot available for up to 512 GB additional storage.
