Samsung Galaxy A70 Review, Specs, Features and Price

by Obodoakor Moses

The Samsung Galaxy A70 is the latest mid-range smartphone from Samsung. It’s basically an alternative for users who don’t fancy the rotation triple camera feature of the Samsung Galaxy A80. I must confess, I’m not a fan of any pop-up camera in today’s smartphone market, so the Galaxy A70 is more ideal to me. This mid-range will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A50, Galaxy A60, Huawei P30 Lite and so on.

Samsung Galaxy A70 Design

Premium design is what the Galaxy A70 comes with. The usual front and back glass that is sandwiched with a metallic frame makes it close to most flagship devices. In dimensions, the Galaxy A70 measures 164.3 x 76.7 x 7.9 mm. It’s considered heavy with a weight 183 grams largely due to the battery capacity.

No fingerprint scanner at the back, instead it’s hiding underneath the display. The back features a triple rear camera, LED flash and Samsung branding name. Moving over to the front we have a waterdrop notch which houses the front camera. The Galaxy A70 is available for purchase in four body colours options; Coral, Blue, Black and White.

Under the hood of the Galaxy A70 is Snapdragon 675 SoC. The chip comes with Octa-core processor and Adreno 612 GPU for graphics. This is one of the best mid-range chipset and powers the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, which is a contender for the best mid-range smartphone this first half of 2019. You’ll get a 6 GB or 8 GB RAM depending on your region to accompany with the 128 GB internal storage. Through the microSD slot, there is room for additional storage up to 512 GB.
