Sony Xperia 1 Review, Specs, Features and Price

by Obodoakor Moses

The Sony Xperia 1 is the first flagship with the 4K OLED HDR display. Sony puts together their new technologies into their newest flagship; Sony Xperia 1. The Japanese giant seems to be taking a new direction with their naming in 2019. The Xperia 1 which is the successor of the Xperia XZ3 is also called Xperia XZ4. Honestly, I think the new name sounds better and Sony probably realise the old naming sucks.

Sony Xperia 1 Design

The Xperia 1 features a Corning gorilla glass 6 at the front and back which meets up with a polish aluminium frame. The phone doesn’t look rounded like its predecessors, it has more of a slab side and squared appearance. There is no in-display fingerprint scanner here, instead, we have the scanner at the right side of the phone.

The flagship device isn’t necessary thick like the Xperia 10, it measures 8.2 mm in thickness. But comes in with a weight of 180 grams. The Sony Xperia 1 comes with IP65/IP68 water resistant rating and it’s available in Black, Gray, Purple and White body colours.
